This 204 Peugeot was a class winner on the 1969 Scottish, starting at 10, a top seedingbased on John Barnes’s incredible top ten result on the previous year’s RAC rally where it beat all the factory Wartburgs. The car was totally standard save for "knobbly" tyres, a sump guard and a Halda. Even the lap and diagonal seat belts were retained. Here it is seen coming down the final descent on the Ardgarten special stage.
